Laser eye surgery can improve your vision and will change your life for the better. It will also decrease your dependency on eye accessories such as contact lenses and reading glasses. Here are a few tips to follow after laser eye surgery:

Take care of yourself - Most complications occur if the flap on your cornea becomes displaced. To avoid this, most surgeons advise their patients to go home after the surgery and go straight to bed. This will decrease the chances of your flap being displaced and will let it heal properly. You also have to have enough rest as this will minimise any infection risk. This will also speed up the natural healing process and will help you get a positive result. Make sure that a friend drives you home after your eye surgery as you might initially experience blurry vision.

Avoid stress Avoid any exercise or strenuous activity after the procedure as this can hinder the healing process. Also avoid any activities that might damage the flap on your eye. So avoid rubbing your eyes as this can dislodge the flap and further complicate your recovery.

It takes time to heal - You do not get the desired effects instantly after the surgery. And it may take some time to get your vision back to normal because the eye takes time to heal. During this healing process, there is a slight possibility that you might experience fluctuations in your vision.
