Do you want freedom from contact lenses and glasses? If your answer is yes, then LASIK eye surgery is the perfect option for you. Compared to other eye surgeries, laser eye surgery is relatively painless and offers quick results. Once you have decided to undergo the treatment then consult a surgeon as soon as possible. He/she will help you to make the right decision.

During LASIK eye surgery, the surgeon will use a device which emits lasers. These lasers will reshape the cornea. One of the best things about LASIK eye surgery is that it can treat several vision problems. Once your treatment is completed then you have to follow a few precautions. Here are some of these:

Wear protective glasses After the surgery, the doctor will give you eye shields which will protect your eyes. Make sure that you also wear them while sleeping because it helps your eyes to repair and restore themselves. It is recommended to wear these glasses/shields for 1-2 weeks.

Do not wear any eye makeup Cosmetics can cause irritation and infection to your sensitive eyes. This is why it is recommended not to wear make up around the eyes for 2-3 weeks.

Avoid outdoor sports After the surgery, your eyes will require some time for healing. For a few weeks, your sense of depth perception will be off balance. This is one of the main reasons why it is recommended to avoid sports for at least a month.
