It is time to get eye surgery

If you have been wearing glasses for a very long time then it is about time you opted for eye surgery. It is a simple eye operation performed with the help of lasers so that there are no scars.
LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) has become quite common as it is simple and the results are efficient. Laser eye surgery is to improve the vision of the eye by a correction in the form of the cornea.
The surgery on average does not take more than thirty minutes thereby keeping the procedure short and simple. Even the technology used to perform these operations is state- of- the- art.
The process starts by cleaning the eye and numbing it so that no pain is experienced. The surgeon then uses a laser keratome to slit a flap on the cornea. While the cornea flap hangs, you will be asked to stare at a light. This is done to check the reaction of your eye towards light. At this time, the eye surgeon would reshape the cornea with the help of the laser.
Once the reshaping is done the flap is put back and no stitches are required. You are not allowed to rub your eyes immediately after the surgery. Dark glasses are advised to keep your eyes away from the harsh light for about 10 to 15 days and then you are ready to face the world.
