Laser eye surgery is the best option for eye surgery. Laser eye treatment is a painless process. The recovery time is quick and the success percentage is very high for it. But one has to take care before, during and after the laser eye surgery.
The laser surgery itself is rapid, with the whole surgery lasting only for a few minutes per eye. After the surgery, one has to take certain precautions. Ask someone to be with you during the surgery. Do not drive, as the surgery will take some time to heal. Wear a good pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun and even then, avoid looking at the sun directly. The eyes are in the process of healing so try to keep them clean as to avoid infection. Ask the eye surgeon about the care and precaution that has to taken after the laser eye surgery.
Avoid heavy work for some days to speed up the healing process. Do not bend down for a few days as it may cause unnecessary strain on the eyes. Avoid having a shower or washing your face during a bath. A sponge bath for the face without any soap is a good option to consider. Try not to spend much time with computers or watching television for some days. Doing strenuous work may cause unnecessary strain on the eye.
