A few years ago, the invention of eye surgery enabled a persons vision to be corrected on a long term basis. This vision correction surgery is known as Lasik Eye Surgery. You may be wondering as to how Lasik surgery works. In LASIK, the protective surface of the cornea is lifted by way of an ultra fine laser. Then this laser is used to reshape the layer underneath. Then the protective layer is carefully laid back in place. This entire procedure takes no more than 20 minutes. Thus by reshaping the cornea and allowing light to fall exactly on it, a person can have perfect vision.
