If you take a look at millions of people across the world that uses contact lenses or glasses in order to see things clearly, you will soon be able to understand why laser eye surgery is becoming extremely popular. In most cases, patients will no longer need to rely on contact lenses or glasses after a session of laser eye surgery.

Many people opt for laser eye surgery as a way to eliminate the hassles of wearing corrective glasses and contact lenses. Laser eye surgery is commonly referred to as LASIK. If you have poor vision, you may often get tired of wearing glasses or contact lenses, but you may not be in a position to remove lenses or glasses to rest your eyes, as you could be doing a task which requires them to be used, while driving for example.

You may be a person who needs to wear glasses or fit contact lenses only when reading close material. Sometime people forget to keep their glasses and contact lenses to hand, or lose them from time to time. Without them to use, reading becomes a tedious effort, and can make the eyes sore from having to strain.

If you choose to get contact lenses in order to eliminate the use of those ugly glasses, you will have to face the hassles of putting them onto your eyes every morning, cleaning them regularly and of course, keeping them at a safe place to make sure you do not lose them. However, if you opt for laser eye surgery, you can easily eliminate all these hassles.
