Posted in LASIK Surgery on July 27, 2010
Lasik is one of the safest ways of dealing with your vision problems, although there are some tips to remember before, during and after Lasik.
What should you do before Lasik
It is advisable to try and rest your eyes before the surgery. Other than this, follow the instructions given to you by your surgeon.
Remember few things during surgery
Your cornea needs to be still and focused during surgery, although modern lasers track every moment of your eyeball.
Care to be taken after Lasik
Maximum rest should be given to your eyes. If possible, sleep for a considerable amount of time as this will help to prevent your eyes from any kind of strain or stress. Though you can usually continue with your normal routine again quickly, it is preferable to avoid it. You are discharged from the hospital as soon as the surgery is done although you need to ensure that someone drives you home. It is also advisable that you dont indulge in any strenuous activities as your eyes need time to heal completely.
If followed properly, these measures will help to enhance your chances of success with the surgery and give you much better results.
