Before undergoing any surgical procedure, you first need to research it well and understand it. Once you have done that, you have to prepare yourself mentally as well as physically. This is done so that you do not face too many problems during the procedure. Many people are afraid before such a procedure. In such cases, you must go to your ophthalmologist and get yourself prepared before you have surgery done.

LASIK eye surgery is not a very lengthy process if you are well prepared. It will take only a few minutes to have this surgery carried out, but for it to go faster you need to be well prepared in terms of certain precautions.

Get support

Someone should accompany you for the surgery process and there should be someone who can take care of your daily tasks for a few days.

No make-up

Do not wear make-up or any sort of cosmetics on that day and a few hours prior to the surgery.

No alcohol or perfume

Alcohol and perfume is strictly prohibited before and after treatment. These could cause reactions, since you are going to be exposed to radiation.

Contact lenses

The most important of them all, avoid contact lenses both soft as well as hard for five to six days prior to surgery. You may not get the required results if you do not take these precautionary measures.

These few precautions can give you just the right results without any side effects. So, contact a reputable laser eye clinic or an ophthalmologist and get clearer vision.
