Post operative protective measures

After undergoing laser eye treatment, patients need to wear a protective eye shield

It is also important to wear sunglasses for a few days to protect the treated eye from dust and other harmful particles

Patients cannot play sports for at least a month after laser eye treatment

Women are advised not to wear make-up for a few weeks after surgery as it could cause irritation or infection in the eye

There are other protective measures that surgeons may give patients which have to be followed. These usually include advice about eye straining activities like driving, using the computer and watching TV.
