If you have poor vision or suffer from eye problems and are forced to wear corrective glasses or contact lenses to see things clearly, then you may want to consider Lasik eye surgery.

Lasik surgery is primarily designed to help those people suffering from vision problems, such as myopia also known as nearsightedness, hyperopia also known as farsightedness, presbyopia and astigmatism.

Myopia This vision problem is known as nearsightedness. People suffering from this vision problem can see close up objects much clearer than distant objects. This problem is caused because the light rays focus in front of the retina of the eye rather than on the retina.

Hyperopia This vision problem is also known as farsightedness. People having this problem can see distant objects much clearer than up close objects. Farsightedness occurs when the light rays focus behind the retina of the eye instead of on the retina.

Presbyopia This is a common eye condition that occurs because of age and is seen in people over the age of forty. In Presbyopia, the lens of the eye can lose its elasticity and as a result, approaching objects can appear blurry.

Astigmatism With this eye condition, the shape of the eye is oval instead of round, which results in blurred vision. Because of the oval shape of the eye, the light rays focus on two points instead of one point.

Lasik eye surgery has helped many people suffering from the above eye conditions in the UK and all around the world to stop using glasses and contact lenses.
