The procedure of laser eye surgery takes place fairly quickly. After spending half an hour inside the operation theatre your vision correction surgery is over. Immediately after the operation there are however, certain measures which must be followed if you want to attain perfect eye sight for the rest of your life. These measures are easy but you have to be careful. Firstly, make sure that when you go to sleep immediately after the operation, your eyes are not hurt during sleep.

During laser surgery treatment, the cornea is reshaped so it takes a certain period of time for the process of healing to be complete. It is better to wear eye protection to make sure that you do not hurt your eye while sleeping for at least a period of one month following laser eye surgery.

Apart from this, you must wear sun glasses and should not look directly at bright lights. This is very important as exposure to bright light can have negative effects on your eyesight. Following the doctors guidelines after laser eye surgery is crucial.

You must be careful to take the medications on time after the vision correction surgery and not hurt your eyes in any way.
