Are you tired of wearing contact lenses or glasses? It is time that you solve your vision related deficiencies once and for all with LASIK. This laser eye surgery option can give you a solution to your refractive vision errors. However, like any other surgery you should follow some precautions post-surgery to achieve the desired results. Here are some dos and donts which will help you immensely. Things to follow post-LASIK
Make sure that you wear protective goggles while sleeping at night. These protective accessories will give you some much needed relaxation for your eyes. Some ophthalmologists suggest using these goggles for at least one or two weeks after LASIK. Regular check-ups post LASIK are also essential to ensure that you are recovering properly. You can ask your laser eye surgeon about any doubts you may have. Things to avoid post-LASIK
Avoid playing any sports at least for the first month after LASIK. Avoid lifting any heavy object for a few days. Avoid applying make up for the first few weeks. Do not rub your eyes and do not let soap come in contact with your pupils. The same applies to shampoos and other similar products. Do not forget to administer eye drops as instructed by your eye surgeon. Avoid watching television for at least one week after the surgery. Prepare a checklist of the above mentioned points and ensure that you follow them accordingly.
