Experience

Since 1998 I have performed over 18,000 laser eye surgery treatments. I started out doing PRK treatments, followed by LASEK, and most recently LASIK laser eye surgery (since 2000). My success rate is very high, with an extremely low re-treatment rate of less than 1%.

I have had the chance to work in a variety of centres in the United Kingdom and abroad. I was taught most of the basic ophthalmic procedures in the Eyes Surgical Teaching Hospital, which is the largest ophthalmic centre in Syria.

At King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor, I was the most senior S.H.O. and I had the opportunity to work with some of the most well known ophthalmologists worldwide. As well as attending the outpatient clinics and theatre, I was involved in performing most kinds of laser eye surgery treatments that were available in the department.

Publications
