Dr. Brilakis

Dr. Brilakis studied Medicine at the University of Athens. He trained in Ophthalmology at Georgetown University and also went through formal subspecialty fellowship training in Cornea & Refractive Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. He is on the specialist register of the GMC as an ophthalmic surgeon and he is also board certified in the United States as well as in Greece. He has been involved with refractive surgery since 2000 and is currently performing refractive procedures with Ultralase, as well as refractive and other (cataract, corneal transplant) procedures with his private practice in Athens, Greece.

Dr. Brilakis has written several articles in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in Cornea and Refractive Surgery textbooks. He has presented numerous scientific papers on refractive and anterior segment topics at international meetings. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Cornea Society and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Brilakis joined Ultralase in 2004. He has performed 6000 laser refractive procedures, 4300 of which with Ultralase.
