Mr Dang MB BS, DOMS, MS, FRCS, FRCOPhth
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery, Mr Dang completed his Masters in Ophthalmology with thesis project on "Corneal Endothelium".
Having trained in London, Bournemouth, the Wirral & Manchester, he is now an established Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with County Durham & Darlington Foundation Trust and South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust since 1983.
Mr Dang is Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and Royal College of Ophthalmologists, England. He is member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, United Kingdom & Ireland Society of the Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and International Glaucoma association. He has made academic presentations at regional, national & international platforms and has many publications in academic journals.
His specialist interests include Small Incision Phaco Surgery for Cataracts, Refractive surgery (which includes laser eye surgery) and Management of Glaucoma including Glaucoma Surgery. Mr Dang has been undertaking LASEK laser treatment since 1991 and LASIK laser treatments since 1997.
