Mr Sajjad Haider
Mr Haider is a specialist eye surgeon who has been a qualified doctor for 30 years. He was awarded a Fellowship of the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in 1988 and a Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists the following year. He was accredited as a Specialist in ophthalmology by the UK's General Medical Council in 2005. He is also a fully qualified laser eye surgeon holding the "Certification in Refractive Surgery" qualification from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists after under-going strict assessment in surgical skills and patient management. He has immense experience and has performed more than 10,000 eye procedures.
Mr Haider has a strong background with the NHS and currently holds the position of Associate Specialist at the renowned University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, the leading University teaching hospital in the West Midlands. He has also held positions at Leicester Royal Infirmary and the renowned and award winning Kings College Hospital in London.
Mr Haider ensures other surgeons gain the benefit of his immense experience and skill and has written and presented many papers across the world including "Eye" the influential journal of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He has also regularly taught at the respected University of Birmingham. Mr Haider's work has immensely benefited both patients and doctors.
There are just 54 surgeons in the UK and Ireland who have attained the Royal College Certification in laser eye surgery. Mr Haider is justifiably proud to be one of them.
