Mr Faisal Iqbal
Mr Iqbal is a specialist eye surgeon and has been a qualified doctor for more than 23 years. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1993 and is also a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology. He is a fully accredited laser eye surgeon holding the "Certification in Refractive Surgery" qualification from the prestigious Royal College of Ophthalmologists after under-going strict assessment in surgical skills and patient management. He has immense experience and over the last 5 years has performed more than 11,500 laser eye surgery treatments.
Mr Iqbal has a strong background of specialist training and appointments within respected institutions prior to dedicating himself to laser eye surgery. He has held senior posts within University College Hospital in Cork, University College Hospital in Galway and East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust. He also completed a Fellowship in Refractive Surgery at the renowned and highly respected Mater Hospital in Dublin.
Mr Iqbal ensures other surgeons gain the benefit of his immense experience and skill. His work has been published in the respected Irish Journal of Medical Sciences and presented at the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland, the 100 year old respected clinical authority, as well as the British Society for Refractive Surgery. Mr Iqbal's work has therefore immensely benefited laser patients.
There are just 54 surgeons in the UK and Ireland who have attained the Royal College Certification in laser eye surgery. Mr Iqbal is justifiably proud to be one of them. The respect for Mr Iqbal's skill and experience is clear - he has now treated more than 60 Ultralase colleagues.
