Mr Gerard Kervick
Mr Mackintosh is a respected NHS Consultant and specialist eye surgeon. He has been a qualified doctor for more than 30 years. He was awarded a Fellowship of the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in 1985 and a fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 1989. He has also been recognised as a specialist in ophthalmology by the UK's General Medical Council for almost 20 years.
Mr Mackintosh currently holds the position of NHS Consultant within the respected Gloucestershire NHS Trust. This Trust runs an award winning and internationally recognised ophthalmology service. His talents are further recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons for whom he serves as a clinical examiner for surgeons. He is also a lecturer at the renowned Cranfield University in Bedfordshire, the UK University uniquely specialising wholly in post-graduate expertise.
This impeccable career combined with expertise in intra-ocular (IOL) and cataract surgery makes Mr Mackintosh an invaluable addition to the Ultralase surgeon team. He has performed more than 15,000 IOL procedures over 25 years in his distinguished career, and affords every Ultralase patient the benefit of this immense talent and experience.
Mr Mackintosh having previously served as Clinical Director of Ophthalmology of the Gloucester Royal Hospital and being a past Tutor of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists brings a depth of accredited skill experience which is appreciated by every patient treated he treats.
