What is LASIK? LASIK involves a laser to creating a small flap on the surface of the eye, which is lifted. Your eye is lasered to correct your prescription and the flap is moved back. Recovery for LASIK is minimal.
What is LASEK? LASEK treatment is where the surgeon administers anaesthetic drops to soften the cells on your eye. The cool beam laser is then applied to your eye to correct your prescription. The surgeon will then gently move the cells back and put a protective contact lens on your eye. Recovery time is around 3-5 days for this particular procedure.
