Laser Eye Surgery Reading
If you live in the Reading or surrounding area, take a look below for more information.
Are you looking into laser eye surgery? Our Reading clinic is located just a short walk from Reading train station. Our optometrists will be able to discuss your treatment options with you, starting with laser and lens!
LASIK: The surgeon creates a small flap on the surface of your eye with the first laser, which is then lifted so that your prescription can be corrected by a second laser. The flap is placed back down, and recovery is minimal.
LASEK: The surgeon administers anaesthetic drops on your eye to soften the cells on the surface. The cells are moved to one side and the laser is applied to correct your prescription, and the cells are moved back to their original position. A protective contact lens is put on your eye and recovery for is around 3-5 days.
We are no longer able to assist walk-in visits as we are limiting the number of patients at our facilities to observe social distancing measures.
